Its strange that I havent really thought about my home town as a subject to much in the past. I have recently turned my eye close to home and have been pleased so far with what I have come up with.

The other day I decided to get some prints made up A3 size from some of the pics that only live electronically in the PC. Looked grand on my screen at home and indeed on the screen in the printing shop I run these off in. Trouble was they all came of the machine a little dark. Now Im thinking that its a screen calibration issue maybe Im just viewing with the brightness turned up to high. That said they did look grand on the pc I was using in the print shop as well. I dont as yet have a printer at home even for A4. I know that sounds strange but my old one gave up the ghost and hasnt been replaced so not sure if it was maybe just their print

I went back to Glencoe last weekend with a camera in hand. Unfortunately the weather...well there was weather lol. I climbed a bit and heavens above I discovered Im letting my fitness slip a little, was hobbling around for the next two days with very stiff legs. The photographs will need to await my new scanner as I thought the 35mm would be a better plan than the heavier D200. That at least was true it was a long long climb!
